antique jacobean style oak sideboard in need of restorationthere are shaped brass back plates behind three of the handles, one back plate is missingit comprises a double cupboard accessed by hinged doors that have recessed panels with a scalloped pattern and various other detailsthe back edge of the top surface has an upstand that extends almost full length which features a scalloped pattern in the centre, to match the pattern on the doors, with spiral beading each side of it and at both ends of the upstandthe doors are opened with brass teardrop shaped handlesthe lining is in poor condition and will need to be replaced5 cm this sideboard is for sale as a restoration project for someone that has the time and skills to restore it to its former conditionthere is spiral beading at both ends adjacent to the door hinges and in the centre between the doorsthe upstand height is 17each drawer has two brass, teardrop shaped pull handlescollection only read morethe left hand door has a lock but no key, the lock is missing from the right hand doorthe top has round, dome shaped screw covers, one is missing, so there are only threethe sideboard stands on four legs, the front two are turned with a spiral feature, the back two are square in sectionabove the cupboard are two pull out drawers with plain recessed front panels and shaped beading around the edgesthe left hand drawer has internal dividers with green baize lining
