Ross of london supplied binoculars to the british and allied forces during ww1 and ww2this is a set of vintage ross of london, stepnite binoculars - 7 x 50 prismaticthese superb binoculars represent the quality and craftsmanship produced by british engineering and manufacturing throughout ww2 and beyondduring ww2 bino prism no 5 - 7 x 50 binoculars were issued to the military for use by coastal watching and anti-aircraft searchlight unitslike their military counterparts, these binoculars have independently focused eyepieces to allow for the calibration of each eyepiece to the differences between the observers left and right eyes, and because no two individual’s eyes are the samealso included is a period (but as new) ww2 khaki canvas neck strapmany military surplus parts were used in production just after the war and if you study the images carefully, you'll see the faint outline of an original mod crows-foot arrow stamp, and traces of a serial number on the left prism coverthe lenses are still in good condition for their age, and the light paths are still clear with very little degradationthe prisms are in good condition, and the collimation alignment is also goodthese were often painted over by the manufacturer so they could be sold for civilian usethis stepnite set probably date from just after ww2, and based on british army no 5 versionsperfect for ww2 collectors, and period re-enactments

It’s in lovely antique condition, but has a few light browny marks in the plain surface part of the dishthis beautiful antique footed bowl carries the hanua makers mark of storck & sinsheimer (jacob and louis) who made hanua silver betweeni have other photos if needed and am happy to answer any questions if i cani bought this nearly 6 years ago for my granddaughters christening but found a hanua box that i preferred so gave her that insteadthis bowl falls between those datesthere are 4 different scenes with figures (including cherubs) that adorn the edges of the dish, and different fruit around the corners that are replicated as a group centrally, they seem religious to me? it weighs 285g but would be an absolute shame to melt it so i would rather keep it if that’s the caseit stands flat on its attached feet, the decoration is in lovely condition, the patina is still there on the metal and the pierced detail that surrounds the fruit and floral corners adds a lovely touch to this rare and beautiful itemthe jewellers lightly and sympathetically cleaned it too as my hands don’t work properlymany thanks for looking read moreit’s been tested at a jewellers as 800 so not the 925 standard silver content but still extremely beautifulsocial distance collection from stafford is great but if postage is needed, special delivery within uk is £10 due to its value please
