It is a hand made instrument made by alan marshall from derbyshire incastleton guitars are very rare as alan does not make them anymorei was told from the seller i purchased it from that alan had said that due to the high quality of these instruments they would be in the region of £ new if he was still making themthis comes with a hiscox light flight solid casenone of them show up on any pictures i have takenas i live on the isle of lewis i am prepared to have it courieredif you need any more info please message or contact meit is fitted with a fishman under saddle pickup and has rather expensive gotoh delta 510's 21-1 high ratio tuning gears(unless you want to come over and try it:) i guess costing would be about £25in terms of transparency it appears that the tortoise coloured pick guard has been fitted at some stage and it very very slightly misaligned from the sound holebrief specs - sitka spruce soundboard with incredible looking african blackwood back and sides with a nice maple binding (all solid wood) and abalone decor on the sound holei am asking £ or very near offerthe dense blackwood back and sides gives this guitar an incredible sound particularly on the bass sideif it is any more than that i will pay the difference so you know what the cost will bea mahogany neck with ebony fretboard gives a nice easy playing feelfor sale due to scaling down is my northworthy castleton guitaralso there appears to be a non visible edging on the varnish on the top / middle boutit is solid and is only barely noticeable when you run a finger over itif it is less i will reduce the cost accordinglyoverall the guitar is in excellent condition with just a few minor age related blemishes and marks
