The cc engine runs very smoothly and surprisingly quiet for a vwthe handmade curtains with the vw logo also complement the blue and white of the bodyworknew window and door sealsnegatives – there’s always something with a 40-year-old vehicle! ours is the fuel gaugewe had to have part of it taken out when we had the pop top fitted and it was never refittedincludes a drive away awningit did not work when we bought himprevious work done includes new cab doors, lower front panel, both front arches, lower 9 inch of sliding door, both rear arches, both rear quarter panels, tail gatethe interior was fitted new in june ’08 (light blue and white vinyl) included 9 door cards, front seats and 2 storage seat padswe had it replaced and although it works i would use it as a rough guide onlywhilst in our possession he has had major bodywork on the off side and has been transformed by adding a small pop up lid and he has also had work done on the enginehe had a recon engine in ’95 so it’s done 98k from then(but it is something you get used to)during this work, we found very little filler so the bodywork should last for agesalso, the electric hook-up does not workwe have learnt to manage without i read morewhen we bought it back in he had been made in to a tin topthe top had been replaced with a fibre glass roof cap to make it a tin top by the previous ownerhe was originally a viking van with the large sleeping compartment on the tophe is set out as a day camper, with full width rock and roll bed with 2 x 3-point belt and 1 lap belt, storage stool/seat (we just use a portable stove for cooking and cool bag)rhd bay camper vanwhilst he has been with us as already mentioned, he has had a devon pop top fittedbodywork is solid with a light blue / white re-spray in may ’09 (previous owner)mechanics –recently been fully serviced and had a new battery so it starts first timecd player and tinted windows

The air awning was bought in to fit our vw t5 bilbo lezanthe awning cost £375 new, so it will be a good buy for anyone who owns a vw camper or similarthe awning pack weighs kg and the pack size is 72cm x 32cm x 32cmthe roof connection height is 180cm to 210cm and space in the awning is about 290cm by 180cm plus 90cm for the tunnelthe maximum head height of 205cmthe awing has a clip-in removable waterproof ground sheet also included is a driveaway awning kit that can attach the awning to a gutter rail on the vanwe found we weren't using it for the short stop touring we were doingit has not been used other than being put up a couple of times to check after buying and take photosthe awning is of the freestanding 'driveaway' type and is quick and simple to erect using the supplied pump to inflate the two air poles

After 33 years of ownership i am selling my vw t devon bay camper vaninternally there are new seat covers and a skylight, the original vw camper stove, table, a cd player and speakersthere is ample storage spacei have loved driving her and people sometimes wave and smile when they see herthe van has been looked after over the years and has had works on it; her bodywork is in good condition considering her agei have not replaced the rear seating with a rock and roll bed or new curtains because i think that is the choice for the new owneri am happy to take genuine enquiriesto name a few of these, (i have included some receipts in the photos) there has been a complete engine and parts restoration, a new pop-up roof installed, bodywork repairs carried out, and this year the base has been made completely good and a new rear bumper installed along with three new tyresthere is a breathable cover and an attached tow barthe camper is categorised as an historic vehicle and is exempt from mot and taxit is a lovely camper vanhowever, a full service was carried out in april because i think it is important to ensure she is roadworthy and safe to drivethere are rear seat beltsnow that the family has grown up and moved on, the camper van needs an owner who can enjoy using it morei have receipts for all the works carried out
