This violin has good tone, mellow and pleasing, none of the harsh and slightly tinny sound you can get with cheaper modern instrumentslike any violin it likes to be played and sounds all the better for it! tunes up easily, although it could use a bit of chalk or peg paste on the pegsunsigned and no maker's labelminor marks and dings as to be expected for its agethis is not a modern mass-produced instrument3/4 violin, ideal to move on to after passing lower grades or when starting orchestral playingit deserves a good home where it can give many more years of enjoymentvalued at considerably more than the asking price several years agothere is also a little black rosin, and three spare strings (two e and an a) if you want themthis one served for several years in our church orchestracomes with bow, hard case, fine tuners fitted and shoulder resti don't believe it has ever had a major repair, there is no obvious sign of it that i can see, but i don't know its history before it came into the family 30 years ago
