2hh 4yo dark brown/black dartmoor hill pony gelding for sale - wonderful companion, super with the children (even my 4yo daughter can lead him, and he's lovely and gentle/quiet to stand and be brushed etc) he’s also been to my daughter’s school to meet the children! i have started backing him (he is lunging, led out on the roads and round the fields both on foot and off my own bigger pony, worn a saddle and my daughter has been held on him several times) she is not interested and i have no extra pair of hands or another small rider to help me progress him any further unfortunatelyi can't imagine he will take much more to finish off as a lead rein pony, he genuinely likes children and although not a complete dope on a rope he is not a silly sorti am looking for £375 including his headcollar and turnout rug (he has mostly lived out, but loves to come in at night too!) but loving home most important!! he is very easy to do in all ways and no bother to have about the placewould make lovely summer project for experienced family, or ready to back and bring on as long term family friend/companion

I have had joe since a 4yo and i have done everything with him myselfhe absolutely loves being out in the field xc/huntinghe hasn't done much schooling so is slightly green but is doing more nowhe is a strong horse but in the right bit this is easily managedjoe doesn't get fizzy atall when you take him new places he is just like he is at homehe wouldn't go out and win at eventing or any discipline tomorrow as he does need some more work (just doing more of it) but this horse will be one to watch in the future as he is safe and honest and loves his work!!! lives in or out, on his own or with company does not bother himat the meet he can be a bit fidgety but nothing silly atallhe has been hunting, cross country, showjumping, hacking and huntinghe hasn't done as much showjumping so hasn't seen all kinds of fillers but has been round a novice course and was fine he will have the odd look but if you take no notice and give him a squeeze he will go over it with heighti cant express how safe this horse ishe is a very easy horse to have aroundjoe is a yo, irish cross, joe has seen a bit of everythinghe will jump anything you point him at but would need a strong rider as he does hook onto fencesbombproof in traffic and has been on a busy yard with machineryhe has since came back to me and the napping stopped within a weekhe would suit a rider looking for something to work with through the winter and take out early next yearhe has done just shy of 2 seasons hunting and just took to ithe has a very good head on him and is clever! a friend of myne has hacked him the last year and he got nappy with her as she would let him go the way he wanted to go, she was a beginner and didn't know what to dogenuine reason for sale i cant have 2 horses sadly!!! please serious enquiries only as he is a much loved boy and i feel i have been very honest and covered everything
