12yr old irish cob geldingarby is not a novice ride and would suit a confident teenager/adult looking for a cob with a bit of spice as he definitely isn’t a plod alongi have owned arby for over a year and he’s given me the best year of my life, however due to work etc i no longer have the time he deserves and it just isn’t fair as he loves attentionhowever if you own your own transport and this is something you can do with kindness and patience then i don’t think it would take too long to build up his confidencearby is brilliant to school on the flat, with 3 lovely forward pacesarbs requires a strong and confident rider to jump him as if it’s anything over his safe height (cm) he does tend to doubt himself and want to run out last minute (however will never stop dead in front) but can jump 1m with ease when feeling confidenthe is not a fanhowever i’m sure with consistency, this cycle will easily be brokenshowing is our forte, always coming home with redsi hire someone to load him and travel him as i don’t have my own box or trailer to practice withhas uncapped potential with the right rider, i’m sureopen to vettings etc and will come with all tack (fitted saddle) and full wardrobe (10+ rugs) £ read morehacking in company he is brilliant however hacking by himself has become a struggle lately as he will just nap until you let him go home, it’s something we’re working on however with my lack of time our bad habits are getting the better of usarbys biggest downfall is loadingarby is a gem to handle on the ground, to groom, tack up etc and loves the attention & of course treats?? but is never nippywe are working at prelim level dressage and consistently score above 65% and he will jump a course of 60cm no problem

Tilly is a 12 year old cob mare approx 14hi have owned her since she was 18mnths old, in which time although she has been kept as a field ornament/companion pony for the most part, i have played with her doing obstacle courses around the field and would therefore make a good agility horse if not riddenshe is lovely to have around, and i am only selling as i am selling my house and can no longer keep several horses at homeher parelli horseanality would be right brain extrovert with lots of thresholdsshe has become more calm as she has gotten older, not that she was ever hot or fizzy, just worriedshe must live out 24/7 - stables are not her thing! read moreshe was sent off for backing as an 8 year old, as many people said it was a waste for her not to be ridden, and though she got to the point of having a saddle on ok she was quite stressed by the process (i therefore decided to bring her back home and not continue - but later put the stress down to her being taken to a strange place away from her friends and not having time to settle in) i now think that given the right environment, time to settle in and a patient knowledgeable person she would do fine

Lovely easy to do 16h 3’ 12 yr old gelding by thethingaboutitis (american tb) out of an irish mare “alfie” by pure fluke ended up not being broken till he was 6purchased in the midlands as a 2 yr by a jockey intending to use him for point to pointing, paul broke his back on another horse and couldn’t ride for two years by which time alfie as too old to start racing so he became lead horse guiding out the youngsters to the all weather track for trainingwhen i bought him for a teenager to have some fun on, he had never been in a box or to a competitioni suspect he would love hunting, otherwise he could definitely do affiliated ode or make a fun riding club horsehe needs to be gone by end of march/early april so all sensible offers consideredeasy to handle he enjoys running and jumping, has done a bit of dressage and is good to do in most ways except for shoeing - he prefers to be cold shodonly for sale as no riderhe has now done several riding club events and got placed at fonthill gifford ht this autumntack and rugs available
