Bought this for covering a wedding ceremony. The camera has excellent picture quality and i love it but the sound playback is very poor. Oh quite better than a few i have used
Braught for holliday great product well recomended.Good value for money light and easy to handle and use.
I'm very impressed with this camcorder. Having opened the box, I put the recorder on to charge while browsing through the manual. This was very comprehensive, and a bit daunting at first. However, once I turned the camera on and inserted the dinky little DVD, everything seemed pretty straightforward. The 40x optical zoom is fantastic. This was the reason I chose the unit in the first place, and I haven't been disappointed. For general day-to-day filming, using the camera is very intuitive - it really is a case of point and shoot, and let the camera make its own decisions. I also love the touch screen for playing around with the more advanced features, like "night mode" filming. I think I've barely scratched the surface so far, and I'm looking forward to expanding my abilities as I move through the learning curve. A great price on e-Bay (much cheaper than Amazon!), and a piece of technology that I'll continue to enjoy for years to come.Read full review

If I had were making the purchase again based on experience I would have opted for a remote control option which would have been handy for the instructional type videos I was making. As my first video camera it took quite a while to figure out how to use it to get the result I wanted but on balance it turned out near perfect for the task of making simple how to vids. It would have been a lot easier though if it had the option of recording in mpeg or AVI format rather than cdaRead full review
