There's a good run of tracks here that allow you to put it on the CD player while at your folks' house and enjoy, without skipping too much. Funky tunes you'd both enjoy like These Boots Are Made For Walking, plus a few Bond numbers thrown in such as From Russia With Love and You Only Live Twice (not the usual version of YOLT however, it's a bit inferior). The title is a bit misleading however because it seems to have a Vegas spin to it, but this isn't really Ocean's 11 territory. There's not one Sinatra song on it, for instance, but some of it is more likely to bring a tear to your eye, such as Wichita Lineman or even Move Over Darling after a couple of drinks. They could have had more Rat Pack stuff, though Dean Martin shows up with That's Amore, and there's also Mack The Knife. It's really not that cool an album, and the first disc goes horribly awry when Magic Moments comes on - yuk! Still, if you want to know more, just check out the track listing. Oh, the Over The Rainbow is not from the film, however. It's a later Judy rendition, when she was less winsome and more blousy.Read full review
