This is the second time I have bought the GPO branded phones. I was so pleased with the desk version that used a rotary dial, that I thought I would get the wall version for the kitchen. Whilst the wall version has a push button dial & not the rotary one, it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the phone. The phone is very well made & looks lovely in Red and perfect to complement my kitchen décor. I quite like the retro fashion as I was only a kid when it was all the rage years ago. The bell ringer is nice and loud when it rings and I can hear in perfect clarity the person at the other end. No whistles or interference unlike the previous cordless Dect phone it replaced. Making calls and using for phone banking is just as good as a normal press button phone. My niggles are the handset can be heavy, especially if you are having a long natter. A change of hands is needed. There is no redial function should you come across an engaged number. That said the original versions back in the 70's & early 80's were exactly the same. The template for wall mounting is useless, however my hubby who is very DIY minded was able to sort it out. Well worth the money paid & I am very happy with it.Read full review
