For those with a broken LX heater, this element fits perfectly into the holes and is quite easy to fit, just an adjustable spanner will suffice. If your tub stops heating a quick check is to resistance check your element (power off, of course!) it should be somewhere between 10-20 ohms between terminals and infinite between each terminal to the casing. Also make sure you've checked the thermostats and the pressure switch on the heater before replacing the element. Thermostats will be closed at normal temps. If you're confident that your circ pump is giving good flow (clean your filter & feel the water coming out of the outlets inside the tub) the quick way to check the pressure switch is to make a small jumper lead to short out the terminals, then run the tub & see if it heats up. Replace pressure switch if it does, replace element if it doesn't. Don't run it without a functioning pressure switch as this protects your heating element if the pump is blocked or flow is restricted for some other reason & last of all, remember to remove the jumper lead!Read full review
