This is a lovely book for the beginner. It gives information on "how to", with photos and details from start to finish. It has a section at the back of book with stencil patterns, but these look "tacky", and not as all like the pictures in the book. However, the book does give the imagination a kick-start if this is really your hobby. But this book really is only for the beginner.
