Over the decades, since this Great TV series was first shown., with it's wonderful period music, there have been many Issues on CD.. Unfortunately, all of them lacked some, of the tracks, probably due to copywrite issues. At last, this particular release, cover's all the songs, which have been enhanced by modern filtering systems, judging by the sound quality, which is excellent.

I was born in 47 so I grew up an Elvis fan that being around the time I started taking notice of music I've got every thing he done, it when Denis Potter came on the tv with all this old music in the programs that I thought that's pretty good music and I thought Mum & Dad would have listened to this music so I just kind of love it.

I remember the Dennis Potter original series with fondness. The music on these CDs taken from that series is so nostalgic. Good transfers from the original masters (or more probably 78s) make this an unmissable buy for anyone interested in music of the 30s and 40s.
