Comparing it to my Sanza 'clip zip' which sadly died after many happy years of use, this one died after 2 months! The controls are even more clumsy to use than on the 'clip', and take a bit of getting used to, and failed after 2 months so i bought another mp3 , not a fuze, to replace it. It's about 2x the size of the sanza clip. My eyesight is not great. I go into 'Themes' 'font' and increase the size of the text until it is HUGE and I can see it really well. It hasn't got a clip ! (boooo). They both can wear rockbox. I thought since it was 4GB there would be little room for podcasts, as the clip is 8GB but it doesn't work like that. I have put 3 talking books and a lot of podcasts and songs on it. I was going to buy a memory chip for it but don't think I'll bother. It looks like it can play audible books on it, but my audible account is lapsed so I can't promise that feature works.Read full review

This is an incredibly smart-looking little player and I would be over the moon with my praises if I didn't have the dark and sinister shadow of having bought cheap players from e-bay in the past, most of which were disastrous and a total waste of time, effort and money. Even now, the player doesn't work perfectly the first time and these 'invisible' buttons are sometimes a bit unresponsive but on the whole the complete package(plus the fact that they are not brand-new players); the look, the quality of the sound and the ease of operation make up for any minor complaints. Maybe I'll put a box-new version on my Xmas present list in a few months as long as the whole thing doesn't break down as soon as I have posted this review. The only thing about this item is that it should have come with some instructions; I spent a couple of hours trying to work out how it worked and where precisely I should push or glide my fingers. Luckily there are masses of articles on the internet about this make and the instructions can be downloaded without any problems. It is light, easy to operate (when you know what to do)and very minimalist-looking. The earphones are probably cheap but very good (buy a better pair online) and the reception on the radio is very good. For the money it is unbeatable and I intend to buy another soon for when I inevitably lose the current one. I'm very happy with the one I bought and would recommend other people to do the same. From my bitter experience in this sort of purchase,I don't really mind the odd glitch, otherwise I'd have bought a new item for 5 times the money; the bods at Sandisk have come up with a terrific design and should win prizes for it.Read full review
