I've been playing the electric bass since 1980. I was 9 years old. Somewhere in the mid 90's a funk player friend of mine said he really liked the DR's and the heavier the better. When it was time for me to change strings I took a chance and got me a set of DR Lo-Rider 45-105. I love them! I love them when they are brand spanking new and right up until about 30 hours of hard playing.

I've used these on a couple of my basses, not recommended for all playing styles, but I like them for slap, seems to be a softer feel also.
