The music was set to Massenet with revisions for the production to make it more flowing, which was very successful.
The final scene in the Mississippi swamp was dramatic with the past memories and the use of the dry ice to give the impression of the swamp mist.
The orchestral playing by the English National Ballet Philharmonic orchestra was excellent, along with the dancing.
