I have a 2012 Scag 48" Tiger Cat. Not knowing a lot about these mowing I didn't realize how quick they wear out a set of blades in the Florida soil. So after my third set of factory blades, I purchased a set of Oregon G-6 blades..... and I was impressed. Not only they were heavy duty, they were wider and thicker than factory Scag blades and they cut better and lasted longer. I use these blades all year long.
I have a Scag 48" that has very high blade speed and is hard on blades. These Gator 6 blades are heavy duty and cut the grass better than anything that I've tried. I would recommend them even if they cost a little more, they will last longer and cut better during that time.
