Excellent quality photos, as it should be for the price. More compact than the G16 which I had previously, although this does mean a rather annoying pop-up viewfinder and a disappointing small strap to be held in the hand instead of a proper camera strap to put round your neck.

G5X M2 is a fantastic small camera. The f1.8 to 2.8 zoom is great quality and gives excellent bokeh for portraits etc. 4K video also really good and the new firmware also provides impressive AF and tracking performance. One thing that’s really impressive is the touch screen menu system. Sony RX100 can’t compete with that! Direct transfer of photos to online services and/or iPhone also well implemented. Overall very pleased and will probably sell my other camera gear!
