As a huge Herriot fan, including the 1979 James Herriot’s Yorkshire, I looked forward to receiving this book. What a disappointment. I expected that the book would revisit sights visited in the 1979 book. What you got was quotes from James Herriot’s previous books opposite, in many cases, unrelated photographs, none of which identified the places photographs. A real cobbled together effort that, I am sure, James Herriot would not have approved of.
