Pros: Refillable. Reliable continuous ignition, adjustable flame, appears to be built well, adjustable/bendable ignitor shaft. Uses 1 common AA battery which is easy to replace. Cons: All the safety switches make it very hard to use-need two hands. You have to depress two buttons, on one top and one on bottom while simultaneously sliding a switch on the top to get it to light. My older one lasted almost 20 years and you only had to depress 1 button to fire it up. I wish they made a model like their older version that does not have all the safety switches so you could use it easily with 1 hand. All those switches likely means more things can go wrong with it also. Tool is very long also which makes it more difficult to store
