Bought to replace inferior Plusnet Hub One router which was constantly 'dropping off' the internet. The BT Smart Hub immediately feels like a superior product. I think that this unit was reconditioned but you would never have known that as it was packed and looked like a brand new product but at a fraction of the price. Another real plus were the comprehensive, well written instructions on how to set up the router to work with Plusnet broadband. I'm not sure if the router would work with other broadband suppliers but Plusnet is a less expensive offshoot of BT. Have now successfully logged all my household's laptops, phones, ipads, Smart TVs, security cameras etc. etc onto the BT router. Here's a tip ... I would have saved myself a lot of time doing this if I had just changed the name of the new router to the name of my Plusnet router and used the same password as before. All this is explained in the instructions. Oh, final thing, my broadband speeds are now constantly at the level they should be and do not drop in and out. Overall a great product if you want to upgrade your Plusnet router and an excellent supplier.Read full review

Bought as a backup for my Plusnet hub. It's OK just have to be careful with settings & follow the instructions in the Plusnet forums. It's a tad more convoluted than the Plusnet box (which is an earlier BT branded product).

I bought this to replace Plusnet hub which has a design fault as many will know. It has strong signal but not quite as stable as plusnet hub. The big disappointment for me is the fact you can only select one of three allowed wireless channels and these channels are the most crowded ones. If you live in a built up area there are many routers on the same frequency. Apart from that the router works well enough.

I switched to Plusnet and wireless was terrible with their Home Hub 1 router. All over google people recommended getting a BT Home Hub 6 router. I did and I’ve gone into advanced settings and just changed BT username to Plusnet and my password. Pressed save and it connected. I’ve not had any issues since. No more buffering on everything. Plusnet need to invest in better router as they must get so many complaints.

Firstly you would never know this is refurbished, looks brand new. Works perfectly. I bought this as a replacement for the Plusnet router, which is a home hub 1 and completely useless. Poor WiFi range and constantly drops off the broadband network. The Home hub 6 is vastly superior and very simple to configure for use with Plusnet, they are in fact BT after all. No more WiFi extender’s plugged into sockets all over the house and constant broadband with no dropouts. Oh and it looks a lot better than that stupid bright white box as well.
