It was very easy to fit although I did need to extend the bracket holes due to my non standard greenhouse. The expanding piston doesn't protrude down into the greenhouse as with some models but lies flush with the window, saving space. It has operated flawlessly for the two weeks I have had it. Very good value and reliable product, I would recommend it

Instructions provided only appear relevant for a cool/cold day. I made the mistake of trying to fit this on a hot day. The consequence being that the rod pushed in (against the wall as instructed) came back out before the opener was fitted so that it couldn't then be screwed back into the black plastic housing. On my second attempt I had to fit the opener in the 'wide open' position and then make several attempts to adjust it in the following early mornings. What a faff!

Having peace of mind that if after a cloudy morning, when the sun eventually shines my plants won’t bake is great peace of mind. Im still playing with the adjustment regarding when it should first open as, for me at least, it seems to open a little early and when the glasshouse still isn’t up to temperature, but it’s been reliable and closes as the sun sets each evening. Going to buy a second for the other window!

Really good item only thing I’d mention is it’s a little wobbly/flexible (sideways) but once fitted fine, fixes well and has multiple options for fixing so will fit a wide range of greenhouse fittings/frames. Not sure how you would set it up as you would need to be sat in there for hours.
