It is an amazing camera for the price, although its a few years old now its feature set is still a long way ahead of its competitors.. It is a great camera to carry around as a general use and the 16-50 kit lens is useable and functional for a wide variety of subjects /genres .... I currently have it set up for B&W street photography on a back button focus and it is amazingly quick to focus... the only down side to the camera is low capacity batteries but at the price it is not a deal killer or wouldn't change my 5 star review. The images straight out of the camera are sharp and not far off finished...A few little contrast and sharpness tweaks make the images look like they have been taken with top end kit.....

Excellent value for money. If you want to use a camera with full manual controls with the emphasis on image quality this is the one for you. Too much ‘fan dango’s’ can turn you away from the basic principle that it is the creative heart and mind of the photographer that produces the picture. The camera is just the tool. If it’s too complicated this can rather be a hinderance rather than an attribute. You just need to spend time playing around with the menu features…,getting to know your camera with make the ritual of picture taking pictures a real pleasure.

Great concept. Offers APS-C size images in a small compact camera size. Compatible with my Sony/Minolta flashguns using the Sony adaptor. E-mount offers ability to use third party lenses. Kit lens supplied 16mm -50mm is of good quality and has produced some great photo's. My personal opinion is to use this camera as an everyday compact with perhaps an ultra wide angle additional lens option for landscape, city, portrait and architectural use.

This is a workhorse of a camera. The lens alone is excellent even though it's described as basic. Very sharp photos. Auto focus is fast very fast. Highly recommended. Also even better with the Sony 20mm pancake lens for shaper photos. This is the ideal Street Photography kit.
