Now 34 left,8 go to a new home nxt wkthey will be ready to go to new homes from friday 20th november when they are just over 1week oldthey must go to homes in 2s or more as quails like to live together & they live better with more companythey will need a heat lamp or heat plate brooder till aged 4weeks old,from 4weeks old they will need to live at room temperature till 6 or 7weeks old then they can move outside into a hutchthey also love eating iceberg lettuce as a treat once or twice a day which i jstart offering from 4weeks oldthe females in warm weather normally start to lay at 8-10weeks old but in this weather they may not lay till weeks old,girls will lay egg with or without a male with them & eggs won’t hatch unless you incubate themthe quails are unsexed but they can be sexed in warmer weather at 6-8weeks old but in this weather sexing has been happening at weeks old, males will crow & foam from their bits & females don’tthey will need oyster shell grit from 6weeks old in a separate bowl or scattered across their run floor if you have a run,this helps them digest their food easily & helps the females lay normal hard eggs when they start to layi had 42 japanese quails hatch out of 47eggs on 12th novcollection westbury wiltshirethey will start to fly a little from 1 & half - 2weeks oldwhen they move outside they can have hay & sawdust in their hutchprice is each or 5 for £20they drink water from a jam jar lid or any lid or saucer,if you use something bigger you will need to put stones in the bottom till they are 3weeks old as they can fall in head first & drownthey also love a sand bath in just normal children’s playsandthey are eating chick crumb which they will eat till 6weeks old but from 4weeks old they will need chicken mixed corn & layers pellets mixed in with the corn then at 6weeks old the crumb can stop being given to them & they will then just eat the mixed corn & pellets

This is going to be difficult for all of us so only genuine enquiries please from people who can give them what they need like we have and can give them an amazing and loving new home! we will require pictures of them initially settled in to their new home for peace of mind! they are truly amazing little family members who will make great little companions, and they must go togetherhere outside they had a double tier 5 ft run to stretch their legs in, and inside they are now in (a borrowed so can't sell with them) a 4ft double tier run, and we would like to ensure they're going to have something not necessarily this large but need to have a lot of space and we need evidence of this before agreeing to any new homeunfortunately after bringing our piggies in from the cold weather, we have found that my son has quite severe allergies to them which have only become apparent since coming indoors as since moving home we haven't got a separate room for them like we did last winterhetty is the ginger one, bear is the big brown one and abe is the white girl with the brown face and bottomabe is lovely at being handled and is a very sweet little girl! all three are absolute gannets and spend all day munching their fresh veggieswe got bear neutered so they didn't have to be separated and they all live amazingly togetherthanks x read morebest is quite timid and is shy with handling and due to hettys past before being rescued she too can be a challenge, and can sometimes nip, so being very cautious around young children is a must! she just doesn't like being picked up but is great once in your lapwe bought bear last year with another male, but they started to fight and had to be separated so we rescued hetty as a companion, who we were told had been neutered but hadn't, a couple of months later popped out abethey love cuddling up together and when out and about exercising won't leave each others side
