These light sussex female chicks were hatched on the 15th january , they are guaranteed female chicks, having been vent sexedwe also have cuckoo maran (speckled), white rangers, and bluebells of the same age, so you can get a mixture of chicks if you want different colourschoosing to buy a young hen is ideal if you are keen to bond with the bird, the younger the bird, the more you can "train" them to come when called etcthey are nearly fully feathered, but will certainly appreciate a bit of warmth for a couple of weeks longeryou can expect 300+ eggs per year, these are hardy, garden friendly, and docile birdsthey will be laying lovely cream eggs by june ofideal for growing on to pol hens, you can tame them super quickly as they are so youngcurrently fed on chick crumb, which is available to buy from us too if neededthey currently need a warm temperature, so need to be kept in a warm environment, somewhere indoors either in a box or in a cage
