I don’t know anything about s gibson caseshaving looked through various gibson forums it seems that the adjustable bridges were not popular, and many players replaced them with a fixed bridge, which produced a far better, more stable soundi find it hard to believe that this is an original gibson case – there is no logo that i can see, and the quality seems a bit low – but it may bethe original owner gigged it heavily in the s and s, then it was eventually acquired by a guy who was more into jazz guitars, and so i bought it from himit obviously took a few knocks in the early days, and it shows them proudlyand, even more importantly, it plays and sounds beautifulthe one thing that seems to be non-original is the bridgeyou can see from the photos that it says it has an adjustable bridge, but you can see from other photos that it does notalthough i keep most of my top-end guitars in their cases, this sits on a stand near to my seat so that i can pick it up whenever i feel the need to make some musicand see my other ads!a very special guitarand it never lets me downmore importantly, it seems to me to be in perfect structural condition, with no sign of there having been a neck re-set or of it having suffered any serious damagethe hard case worksit’s certainly oldi’m happy to wrap it and its case in cardboard and post it outat any rate, it does the job of keeping the guitar safe from point a to point babout £40 p&p (uninsured) in the uk, or i can get a quote for insured or elsewhere (or you can handle that side yourself)this would appear to have happened in this case

Up for sale is my amazing gibson sj-200 & ohsgc also in mint conditioni bought this off the original elderly owner who only played it occasionally & had a collection of classic martin & gibson acousticsit has the anthem pickup system which works perfectly, i don’t think it had ever had a battery in it! i restrung her with new d’darrio custom lite bronze wound stringsit has the most wonderful sound, and the maple grain on the back is simply stunning! the photos do not do this guitar justice! with a new one now over £4k this is a bargain for one in ‘as new’ condition with 10 years of maturity of the woods! read more
