He has beautiful stable manners and loves to be groomeddespite his age he is a strong thoroughbred and needs a firm confident rider to continue with himthis is an absolutely heartbreaking decision but through absolute no fault of his own this beautiful year old gelding is looking for his next loving homehe is broken to ride and has been doing walk and trotting school work in the last 11 months which he has taken to brilliantlyhe will come with his recently re-fitted saddle, bridle and 2 sets of rugsour young children will walk him in with us, feed him and brush him and is especially gentle when they are aroundhe occasionally wanders from the mounting block however with perseverance he is great to mountwe have not found anything that spooks him, he hacks on the road with traffic and he’s on a busy yard with loud machinery and dogshe is up to date with all jabs, teeth, farrier and sheath cleanerhe hadn’t been worked for some time before i bought him therefore i have bought him back into light work however he has a way to go and would suit someone who is confident and wanting to bring something on morewe have been hacking both alone and in small and large groups, each time he is great and looks after his rideri am available throughout the week and next weekend for viewings but as said we want to make sure he goes to a loving home so no dealers need enquirehe is a dream on the ground, great for the farrier and dentist (even the sheath cleaner) and is very affectionatei want to be as honest as possible about him therefore i want to make clear he is not a novice ridehe is shod on both fronts and is regularly wormedhe is an amazing boy and he will not be going to just anyone, i want him to go to a loving home who will have fun with him and love him like we havehe is an ex-racer although he wasn’t very successful so has been off the track for 10+ years

Dora is a beautiful 4 year old, bay thoroughbred/hanoverian cross mare who is ready to go on with and has a fabulous temperamentshe has been fantastic to handle throughout, not mare-ish at all, and is extremely affectionatewe bought her from a dealer in april and realised quickly that rather than being ready to go on with for my daughters (aged 13 and 11) that she was in fact a rescue case insteadshe is currently stabled at night with daytime turnout in a mixed group of mares and geldingsshe is good to worm, trim/shoe, be led, with other horses, in field, in stables, to handle and with farm trafficher feet had been neglected and worm count showed she needed wormingit is a sad sale as we were hoping she would be the horse we could go on with but have realised that with work and school commitments that we simply do not have the time to invest in dora to help her realise her full potentialshe has lovely scope and should make a lovely jumper/eventerall of this has since been rectified with an improved feeding program, intensive worming program, regular trimming and equine dentist visitdora free schools and we have introduced poles and some small jumps to build her muscle condition upshe lunges on voice command, has begun long reigning, been backed and walked around whilst being ledher body conditioning score on arrival at our yard was between 2-3 on the bailey’s horse feed body score sheetover the last few months my daughters have brought her up in condition and health so that they have been able to work on her education for the last 4 weeksplease ask for more information and photosshe has been on a walking hack and didn’t even blink at the traffic that went past and that included a motorbike and busshe is great to do in all ways and is mostly handled by my daughters, who have done great work with her so far
