Berry is turned out in a mixed herd however he’s happy to be left on his ownberry was broken in 4 years ago and has since been used as a light hack before arriving with myself as his owner could no longer ride him due to health complicationswith me he’s had a novice rider ride him on a hack and in the arena jumping and schooling and she even had her first canter on him which he was perfect forberry is lovely to ride and a favourite on the yard to hack as he is forward going but not strong (real push button type) and he is good in traffic and in open spaceshe is fine for the dentist and vet (and is fully up to date with vaccinations)in the time i’ve had him berry had been schooled and bought into consistent work doing a bit of everything including jumping, schooling, cross country, pony club rallies (which he was amazing for) and hackinghe has beautiful paces and would be one to look out for in the show ringthe world is his oysterberry is a 13hh 13 year old dartmoor geldinghe is perfect to tack up doesn’t even pull grumpy faces ! berry’s only vice is picking out his feet - with work he is now absolutely fine for us pick out his front ones but we are still continuing work on his back feet as he doesn’t like these being picked out he is improving but i would not trust him with a child to have his feet picked out yet, because of this he will need to be sedated for the farrier and his price reflects thisberry is great on the ground in general and is easy to handle and will stand happily to be groomed and fussed and has never nippedhe loves jumping and has an extremely scopey jump, he can be unsure of new things as he hasn’t got much experience with jumping but is a very quick learner and i now have him jumping over planks fillers and cross country jumps with some basic work he never likes to touch a poleberry is fine to load but may need a few minutes to think about things as before coming to us he hadn’t traveled much, he’s a good traveler

Rocky would not suit being on a big livery yard because he likes to come in first! if he is not in first he will bring himself in! he would be happy to live completely on his own and he’s also happy to be left in the stable on his own while no other horses are aroundi have taken him xc and he again jumped every jump /water/ditches without a second look ! he’s great to hack and in traffic goes out alone or in companyhe needs to be kept in regular work to keep his muscles nice and relaxedrocky works beautifully in an outline in walk trot and canter and has placed in multiple unaffiliated dressage competitionsrocky has a muscle condition called pssm type one this condition effects rockys muscles but is manageable with a strict routine and exercise planrocky needs to be kept on low sugar low starch diet with some additional supplements of vitamin e and magnesium, he wears a muzzle during the summer monthshis ideal home would just be with a confident experienced older teen or adult doing riding club, unaffiliated competitions and possibly some eventing read morehe’s good to do in al ways, loads himself, clips perfectly, stands for the farrier ect in the winter he doesn’t get a bit strong coming in from the fieldhe is not a novice ride as he is forward and responsive, he can also be a little spooky but nothing a good rider wouldn’t be able to handle ! rocky loves to jump !! he has never ever stopped at a jump! he is however strong and fast! but no filler is too scary ! he’s always placed at unaffiliated sj competitions
